lately, i'm beginning to develop the type A personality whereby i cant tolerate having nothing to do or feeling guilty for just that, something that i was far from not too long ago. mann, what has school done to me.
in any case, projects have been slack, common test week has only one paper of four chapters, four weeks of holidays ahead of me...and im getting worried... for nothing. sheeshh.

this is as worst as it gets.
a replacement key for the p****** bike i own cost me a !@#$ $168! just because its italian made... sigh. while in a key maker shop having it cut (after collecting the 'device' from its service centre), a banglah worker came, requested to make a brand new key for his honda wave as he had lost his, and got it for only $5... ohh mmyy goooodness, can you calculate the bloody difference. i could have just burn my bike at that moment. and it doesn't end there, when i got home and into the car, there it was on the seat, the missing key.

however, besides this spoiling my mood for the rest of the day, i gave in to my months long yearning for a pair of crocs and finally got them today. you wouldn't believe what made me throw 68 bucks on a pair of rubber toilet slippers... it was these spongebob and patrick jibbitz (the cartoon thingy you insert into the holes) which caught my attention and i thought it was damn cute. hahaha. hmm jibbitz, is that even a word? lol, so now we all learn a new word. in any case, i decided my new found hobby's gonna be collecting those damn jibbitz and filling up all the holes on my crocs! whoo!

spent the day down at exercise northstar 6, having the situation being a mishap out at sea. hence our main efforts were mainly coordinated at the p3 casualties. all of us had a good tan too, so good that our asses were burnt as well. overall, it was an interesting exposure with many new lessons on disaster management and casualty treatment learnt. unfortunately as our team was way off the hot zone, we missed much of the action involving the coast guard vessels and helicopter rescues, which the previous northstars didn't have. hah, caught farhan and anton on news. you don't wana know what they had to do...


hah, been briefed that we shouldn't blog nor post anything that could violate security matters. so... guess this's as much that i can share. :)

been down with stomach pains since the past couple of days and its condition hasn't seem to be improving much. on the brighter side, gotten a 2 days mc off yesterday and today, leaving me with a good amount of time to chiong through 3 projects within this period of confinement to the bed and desk. efforts were evidently paid off when thumbs up from the tutors were received. at least, they're somethings left aside to worry about for now, as i concentrate on common tests happening in two weeks time and well, just getting better for exercise northstar 6 tomorrow!

headed down to fairfield for syf training this morning. its always been a wish that fairfield could host any one hq event. hence despite the shin injury from training on thursday, i couldn't bear to give it a miss. in the end, it was all well spent, with a number of good shots captured and time with everyone else.
right now my feet are still just packed with blisters and left shin swollen and burning from multiple shin clashes during sparing since thursday, due to not wearing any guards. yeah, i know... 'what a loser', you must be thinking. i admit. but gratefully my groin was spared... phew. :D

school has been slack these 2 weeks. infact, classes are only on tues and thurs leaving me with long weekends to chill. just as i was getting used to this, school is back to normal next week. :( could have taken a short trip to batam or kl if not for the other crappy project work and the hole in my wallet. hah, perhaps some time soon.
started work on a mystery audit project at a hotel in town, only to freeze my butt off at the lounge for a number of hours eyeing and catching lazy employees not doing their jobs properly. hah, im so glad its over... though it was an enriching eye opener. :D

the kids have been out of school having their enrichment week, with some at overseas obs, leaving my inbox and msn messenger alerts rather quiet. i thought this would be a good chance to take time off unit matters and pay a little attention to other things in life. and im definitely doing nothing less than fine with that. been busy on building up and maintaining my theme park in roller coaster tycoon 3. hoping to clear the big project then move on to airport tycoon :D not to mention, its my first time touching dota this week. rocks.
after 2 years... i discovered theres a cybercafe in np. sheesh.

decided to try my luck at the young photographers' award 2008. submitted 6 photos in and waiting for results to be released by july. if i make it, i'll be 5k richer. if not, then probably a hundred bucks poorer from all the unnecessary printing; bloody expensive. compared a no. of photo printing shops. the 1st charged $8 per 8r print, 2nd - $6 and 3rd $3. like WTF?! check out the variance!
hah, and incase your interested, the third's at clementi central, beside the frame shop. (:

For those who didn't know, Ironman is the toughest triathlon ever. The race encompasses three endurance events of a 2.4 mile (3.86 kilometer) ocean swim, followed by a 112 mile (180.2 kilometer) bike ride, and ending with a 26.2 mile (42.195 kilometer) marathon along the coast of the Big Island.
Father and son went on to complete the race together.
